Wanted: stop sign
I am not going to go down that road. Even if I am far away and physically unable to do anything, the one thing that I can do is to Not.Go.Down.That.Road.

Laroooo
In a fit of nostalgia today, I went on a PS1 ROM downloading spree. Currently I am sobbing my little heart out as I play Suikoden. Leche! Makakalimutan ko nanaman magtrabaho nito e.
My ultra mega never say die favorite games:
Breath of Fire III
Suikoden 1 (still the best one, in my opinion)
Lunar Silver Star Story
Xenogears (soundtrack still kills after 13 years!)
Wild Arms
Tomorrow I have pass by Bestbuy to buy a gamepad. Heehee. Then I will hunker down for the weekend (except for Friday afternoon where my sister and I will go watch New Moon. Yaaaa @_@)

I had a nice phone conversation today. It all started out because I was calling Bestbuy to check out my card information (in other words, wanting to spend more money I don't have). And i ended up talking to this call center guy.
It started out innocently enough, he was just asking for my basic information etc etc, then he asks where I was born, and I say: "Cebu". I was about to spell it out for the guy when he suddenly says "Oh, you're from the Philippines! I'm in Manila now." I'm like: "OMG" then he says that he's in QC, at the Philcoa building or something whatever, near the QC Memorial Circle. I told him that I wouldn't have guessed he was Filipino because his accent was very...americanized I guess is the word. He started laughing and said that it was the first time somebody complimented him on his accent.
He then goes on to ask what the weather in Canada is like now. ("Cold. Very cold." I say), and I ask how things are going on in Manila. (He said it was cold and people still recovering from the flood.) He was also nice and asked if I had any family members who were affected (thankfully, no). And then I told him that I lived in Paranaque for most of my life. "Ah, you're a southern girl." he says. "Yep, raised in the south." I reply. Darn it, I sounded like I was raised as a chicken or something.
Anyway, after all the niceties, we ended the call and I wished him a good day (it was almost 6am Manila time). It's funny how that one simple call can make my day. Maybe I just need someone to talk to, you know? Someone from home. Although I'm not about to be calling various call centers just looking for pinoys to talk to (that's just plain creepy). But it was nice to hear someone wishing me well and making me kwento a bit about home. Even if it was part of his job.
Unlike some person I know who doesn't call at all.
So yun, someone made me happy today, and I hope that I at least made him happy, for however brief a time. Good deed done. Although I hope that my card request pushed through after all that. Haha!

*hic*

I miss getting drunk. Like falling down, laughing-until-I-throw-up drunk. I feel like I've spent the past month just doing two things. Going to work, and going to sleep. Rinse, repeat. Bleh.
Now I'd just like to relax with a bottle of beer or ten. (And in case you're wondering, no, I can't really drink a lot here because a) it's boring to drink alone, b) the beer supply in the house solely belongs to my brother-in-law and, c) well...yeah it is kind of sad to be drinking alone.)

Cleaning
Sinipag ako today and I decided to clean out my everyday bag and some other stuff in my room. I found a few notes on scraps of paper that I wanted to post here because...well, mainly because I can :P
Sometimes when I'm waiting for the bus, or just waiting in general, I tend to scribble down things because I have this tendency for free association writing. Here are some of the dingbat things that I write down:
When it comes to the topic of friends and birthdays, it is wise not to ask the following:
"Birthday ni ______ ngayon. Binati mo na ba siya?"
Because more often than not, you will get either:
A. "Hindi ko siya type."
B. "Hindi ako bakla."
and
C. "Oo, binati ko siya kahapon."
The latter then prompte a flurry of replies such as: "WAHAHAHA! BINABATI MO PALA SI ______!!!111"
If you don't get the double entendres, don't worry about it. It just means that your mind isn't as filthy as ours. All chats are like this. All day. Everyday.
This one I found on my phone:
I'm on the bus and there's this guy sitting across from me. His bag is attracting my attention. You know those old notebooks/stationery/kikay kits that are translated into English from Japanese or Korean or something like that? His bag has a wonderful poem that I've been trying to read for the good part of 10 minutes now.
(words are copied as is)
Littlesheep following me
Enjoy the time in Spring.
With you appreciate to read it
Littlesheep, keep company with you
bathing in the beautiful scenery!
Littlesheep littlesheep...
(then I couldn't read the rest . My guess was "Let me in, not by the hair of my chinny chin chin!)
After a while, he had moved his bag to his lap and I was able to read the rest of the words:
Littlesheep littlesheep
is it zoom for fashion.
Mas maganda pa yata yung naisip ko e.
Yun lang. Haha! Just wanted to share :P
